This award, presented by Rolls-Royce, recognizes an individual for long-standing excellence in rotorcraft maintenance, maintenance instruction or supervision, or a single significant contribution to rotorcraft maintenance.
Rainbow Helicopters Maintenance VP Mike Iven received the prestigious Helicopter Association International (HAI) 2023 Salute to Excellence Maintenance Award. Mike is an exceptionally skilled, knowledgeable, and generous professional with an unwavering dedication to safety. He has helped Rainbow Helicopters expand its turbine fleet and integrate the first Airbus AS350 helicopter into the tour business.
When not working in the hangar, Iven helps mentor the next generation of aviation maintenance techs. He talks to students about the benefits and personal rewards of being an A&P, using his own rich career as an example of all that an aviation mechanic/engineer can achieve with passion and dedication.
