Rainbow Helicopters and Hawaii Food Bank aid Maui Wildfire Relief

Volunteer employees of Rainbow Helicopters on Oahu helped with the Hawaii Food Bank Annual Collection day August 26, 2023. Street-side sign wavers got the attention of travelers and helped direct them into the giving stations. Other volunteers unloaded the cars and trucks for the sorting crews. Then the donated food, household items, and cash were collected, sorted, packed for shipment, and palletized for loading. Everything donated, goods and cash, will be sent to support agencies on Maui to directly help those most affected by the August 8th wildfires.
Our thoughts are with our Maui ‘ohana and everyone impacted by the devastating wildfires. Together with our extraordinary community, this year’s Food Drive campaign raised more than $300,000 and gathered 43,000 pounds of food and supplies for the Maui Relief Fund — making it possible to provide food for more than half a million meals toward Maui relief efforts.

Rainbow Helicopters hosts an Aviation Exploration Day for Aliamanu Middle School.

We hosted an “Aviation Exploration Day” with students from Aliamanu Middle School. They toured the helicopters and met our entire team, pilots, mechanics and operations staff.

Rainbow focuses on supporting mothers’ needs in Lahaina, Maui relief efforts.

Rainbow Helicopters, with a focus on mothers, delivers mom & baby care products—such as baby formula, diapers, and essential supplies—for Maui relief. 100% of donations support Maui relief services. Rainbow Helicopters donates all flights, and Castle and Cooke Aviation donates fuel. Thank you for your generous donations!

Rainbow collects food to donate to Hawaii Foodbank.

Rainbow Helicopters collected non-perishable foods from its guests and gave them to Hawaii Foodbank, a member of Feeding America. Guests recieved a complimentary flight video for every ten non-perishable foods they brought in for donation. We collected about 9 moving sized boxes of food!

Rainbow Helicopters Honolulu answered Molokai General Hospital’s plea for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by donating 3D face masks. Rainbow’s CEO / Chief Pilot Nicole Battjes delivered the masks via R44 helicopter to the neighboring island. — View video
