Enjoy your experience without worry with our proven commitment to health and safety.
Our Commitment
Rainbow Helicopters is committed to ensuring your safety on each and every flight. That includes making sure that we operate in accordance with the latest guidelines to protect your health during the COVID-19 pandemic. To accomplish that goal, Rainbow Helicopters partnered with SanSee Systems to implement their hygiene certification system for tour operators and became the first Hawaii tour operator to earn the SanSee Shield. We also committed to the Helicopter Association International’s COVID Clean Pledge. Our Owner, Director of Operations, and Vice President of Safety continually monitor updates from the State of Hawaii, the Centers for Disease Control, and the U.S. government to ensure we are following the most current best practices.
Sanitation
We have created detailed sanitation procedures for our vans, our facility, and the helicopters to protect your health. Between flights our staff sanitizes the seats, seatbelts, headsets, life vests, door handles, and commonly touched surfaces of each helicopter. We also sanitize our check-in and briefing room between each group of flights, and the vans are sanitized in between guest pick-up and drop-off. Hand sanitizer is available for guests throughout the facility, and we ask that you wash or sanitize your hands regularly while you are with us. Everyone of our employees is required to wash or sanitize their hands often, especially before interacting with our guests.
Screening
We are conducting daily health checks, including temperature checks, of each of our employees before they begin work, and if they are not feeling well we do not allow them to come in. We ask that all guests check themselves for symptoms such as fever, dry cough, sore throat, or unusual fatigue and postpone their flight if they are not feeling well. Our staff will ask all you some questions to make sure that you are not experiencing any symptoms, and they will check your temperature as a precaution. Don’t worry, if you can’t fly because you are experiencing symptoms we will refund your flight.
Face Masks
In accordance with CDC Guidelines and the laws of the State of Hawaii and the City of Honolulu we require all guests 5 years old and older to wear non-medical grade face masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while in the van, in our facility, and while in flight. If you forget your mask, don’t worry! We will have disposable face masks available for guests. If you have a medical condition that limits your ability to wear a face mask please let us know.
All our employees must wear face masks when they are interacting with our guests or working with one another. Our pilots will wear face masks throughout the flight unless they determine that they need to remove their mask to operate the helicopter safely.
Social Distancing
We have modified our check-in, briefing, and guest transportation procedures to maximize social distancing throughout your time with Rainbow. We ask that guests maintain at least six feet of distance from other groups while waiting in the lobby and appreciate your kokua in refraining from shaking hands, hugging, and engaging in other forms of close physical contact.
“ Rainbow Helicopter Tours has proven that they take the well-being of their guests very seriously, and are on the leading edge of welcoming tourists back post Covid-19 ”
