  3. "We arrived early, were quickly processed, and put on a flight almost an hour early. We didn't book a private flight but were upgraded to private when we arrived, which was lovely and much appreciated. Julian was our pilot and he was fantastic! Very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable of the island. We did a doors off tour and it was great. It was really cool to see the island from so high up. They warn you it's windy but it was still so much windier than we expected, especially for anyone in the back seats. I had to hold my headset on the whole time to keep it from blowing off because it wouldn't tighten enough to stay put with the strong winds. Overall it was a great experience and we'd recommend everyone take this tour. It's immediately become one of our favorite experiences in Hawaii to date!"

Even though we couldn't see all of the island due to bad weather it was still so worth it. Loved having the doors off even with the wind. Would definitely come back. The staff were awesome!!! This was our highlight of our trip!"

  5. "YA GIRL GOT ENGAGED ON ONE OF THESE HELI'S. We went on the 45 min tour with pilot Julian. Originally, we were going to be in the big shared helicopter but it was unavailable at our tour time. The staff ended up giving us a private tour in one of the smaller helicopters and it was awesome. Julian was so friendly and honestly treated us like old friends. He had cool facts to share and was very personable. I 10000% recommend. It was beyond beautiful and such a wild and cool way to see the island. I will say, we went on the 4pm tour which was super nice since the sunset was at 5:45pm. There was still a lot of light but not beating down. My videos came out great. I wore a sweatshirt and shorts with doors off and by the end of the 45 mins was a little chilly. It is December though so maybe during summer it's not as bad.. either way 100% do the doors off!"

As a queer couple, it was important to us to choose a company with a diversity and inclusion policy so we could be certain to have a good time, and we certainly did! They take you around the whole island so you get to see everything. I recommend doing it at the start of your trip because the pilot will point out great touristy spots and to-do's to check out."

  9. "I had a fantastic helicopter ride for the first time. The instructors provided us with a detailed safety video, and then we were quickly whisked away to board the helicopter. Our experienced pilot patiently explained the various sights we were seeing, although the audio quality was not ideal. We were able to communicate with the pilot using microphones, and the scenery was simply breathtaking. I give it five stars!"

  12. "What can I say? Amazing, stupendous, beautiful, etc. Best helicopter tour I have ever taken. All 3 of us were mesmerized by the views. Rainbow makes sure you enjoy your ride. Donavan, our pilot, had been a medi-vac pilot for years. He was knowledgeable and extremely interesting. We opted not to take the helicopter ride offered by our cruise ship. Rainbow's pricing was less for 90 minutes than the cruise ship's offer for 1 hour. 15-minute taxi ride from pier."

I had door off seat and whilst I was initially anxious ,I enjoyed the thrilling ride and Ida was our pilot for our trip. Our pilot Josh did a wonderful job at explaining all the different sights and was great at giving us a heads up whenever there was turbulence (only happened twice and very briefly). I generally get motion sickness when I travel but Josh was very smooth with take off and landing. I highly recommend the experience! You’ll never forget it."

Reception called me minutes after I booked to confirm I received the email with parking instructions and everything was good to go. Arrived and followed the well documented signage to the designated area and we were off. The staff went to great length to go along with the surprise proposal and helped ensure no hints or spoilers occurred. The collaboration and communication between the staff and I was excellent, as well as the amazing tour. My fiancé and I were able to see the various points of interests including the sacred falls, coastal shores and Mountain views. Our pilot and guide Kyle, did an excellent job and so did our photographer Mark. I highly recommend both of them as well as choosing Rainbow Helicopters for your Oahu tours. The views were absolutely beautiful around the entirety of the island. We had Lucien as our pilot and he was amazing as well! He was very knowledgeable when it came to the history of the island and the sites we seen as well as made us all feel comfortable throughout the duration of the flight. I believe that this tour is a must when visiting the islands and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!"

"This may have been my confusion, but I Thought our flight was supposed to be my in-land (to see some waterfalls that can't be seen from roads or hiking in?), but our flight just went on the outskirts of the island. I wasn't sure if this was due to the fact that the weather was not as great that day or just my misunderstanding. However, we still really enjoyed our flight and did get to see some areas we had not seen from the ground. Our pilot was very friendly and knowledgeable, and all other staff were very friendly as well. Overall, a great experience."

He was very knowledgeable and the right amount of chatty for us. We say parts of the island we would not have seen otherwise! Rainbow and staff very attentive and professional from the start. Everyone said hello and goodbye and asked how our flight was. It was an hour that didn’t seem like one at all!"
