Amazing experience

Our pilot Jeff was stellar, all of the staff were amazingly friendly. Our doors-off 90 minute ride is an unforgettable experience. Thanks team Rainbow. She was very educated on the parts of the Big Island and the volcanic activity. She was very personable and professional. She far exceeded my expectations of the Big Island and volcano tour. From the time we walked into the office til we got off the helicopter they were amazing. We had Ida as our pilot and she was sooooo amazing. Her love for the island definitely showed and she was super informative. We did the waterfall tour and added the volcano tour with the doors off. It’s cold while over the volcanos but perfect weather over the coast and waterfalls. She made sure to circle each attraction so both sides of the helicopter got the same views. Unfortunately they share an office with the refueling company and the receptionist for the refueling company is very unpleasant. She brings her dog to work and is extremely rude if you say hi to the dog and makes it well known that she doesn’t want any contact with anyone from rainbow helicopters. The good thing is you don’t have to talk to her or associate with her at all. Just try to avoid her and you will have an amazing time. EVERYONE with rainbow is amazing and very helpful. They made sure to get good pictures of us before the helicopter and in front of the helicopter. This was the best helicopter ride I’ve ever taken and the crew was top notch! Just avoid the refueling receptionist.""We had an epic journey all through the island. From the volcanos through the valleys and volcanos. The terrain was stunning. Our captain Joseph was beyond amazing with stories and knowledge. Wilson and the staff at the home base were lovely. “Thank you all for a better than expected experience for Maddie, Derek and I. We are here on a Make A Wish trip. The helicopter tour was our gift to her since Make A Wish doesn’t allow helicopter rides for insurance reasons. She is a Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor. She was diagnosed late February 2021 and went through 6 cycles of chemotherapy. She completed her treatment in July of 2021. She wants to go to college and become a Marine Biologist so what better way to to see the most spectacular ocean views but in Hawaii. We have only been here in Honolulu a few days and have seen the most majestic views. Josh entertained us with his knowledge of the island and surpassed all expectations with our sunset tour.”
